This was my first attempt at photography since a Union strike day in 1989, when, Money (real name suppressed) spilled two bottles of Cooper's in my car, flooding my Pentax ME Super in beer. In Money's defence, a radioactive-hot pizza had bounced onto his lap causing the spillage.
Some 18 years later, I bought a Pentax Optio A30; the transition from film to digital obscenely easy.
This image was taken on VRC Derby Day 2007, from McCarthey Road at Wallaroo, north-west ACT. I shot some 60 images, waiting for the light to appear at it's most dramatic.
