We start outside Casino Canberra and grab a shot of their water jets, captured at 1/1000th second, f1.8, using a Pentax FA 31mm lens.

A short roll up the hill for some Canberra Multicultural Festival multiculture.

David Bowie stopped by, he didn't sing or act - still, he added his creative touch.

Friendly tall girl.

Paul Kelly's A to Z Tour

Night 3 - Songs L through S
Saturday 29th January, 2011
Canberra Playhouse

[Pentax FA 77mm, F1.8, ISO 800]
This is basically the photo I had wanted to shoot of Paul Kelly; a B&W of him on stage and doing his thing. No flash.

I'd also been to Night 2, so had a decent idea of the lighting and angle, lens choice was easy.

A few other shots I took of Paul, and his nephew, Dan.

Big Day Out

At last, the class acts appeared -
Angus and Julia - on the Converse stage. Approx 1645, it was crammed and scorching hot, I couldn't see a thing until we got to the stage for the last song of their set. These shots were taken by Brian from about 30m back.

Back to the slightly saner main arena for John Butler Trio....

Rammstein - these guys turned on a great show!

Okay, time for the infamous Boiler Room to finish the day. We saw MIA after Booka Shade, again got to the front row. Utterly packed, here are a few random shots. Trust me, Booka Shade is in the background in the crowded front row shot.
