June 2009

Rocks at Dunlop on a dreary day.

Freezing cold here, off in the distance was a fast disappearing rainbow, despite edging down a muddy dirt road, I just missed the shot. Patience paid off as sunlight poked through, delivering a healthy dose of drama.

National Museum of Australia - taken at 28mm to accentuate angles.

Lake Ginninderra trees in low winter sunlight.

Porsche Cayman S

Wetland area at rear of Forde, ACT. This tree stood out with filtered winter sunlight adding to its form. The challenge was to reach a decent vantage point without being covered in kangaroo poop, a sea of it to negotiate in a soft field. I took about 50 shots in different light before settling on this shot - the colour version temperature is as-shot.

Fountain outside Canberra Centre - somebody added bubble bath....

I was on my way to work in thick fog, photo opportunity time - so headed for Lake Burley Griffin. Made it to work eventually. 2CN Radio were running a Canberra Winter Photo contribution on their website, some fantastic entries; here are my efforts.
