August 2009

Just three shots for display this month, the rest of my photos were too experimental for public edification, or, plainly, they just stunk. On with it ...

The first shot was taken near Sutton, NSW on Talagandra Lane. I tried to capture a sense of the striking depth in the intervening space between foreground grass and laid back trees at the rear of this scene.

The post-processed-B&W-image has been split-toned with a combination of sepia (shadows) and yellow (highlight areas) in minimal doses / not saying how much / can't recall.

Okay, my second shot was of an early season daffodil. A captive subject against even backlighting; this B&W shot also split-toned, except I reversed the use of tones from the previous shot - sepia (highlight areas) and yellow (shadows).

And finally, another B&W no-risk effort, Limes under harsh late Winter's afternoon sunlight.
